Relaxation Group:
The Relaxation Group meets on a Wednesday morning.
The class begins with each member sitting on their individual mats on the floor. The leader advises
the group of any member who is missing that day. They then start some gentle exercises. After the
exercises they lie down for total relaxation. During the relaxation the leader says a prayer for
absent members and share a reading. Deep meditation follows to the sound of relaxing music. At the
end of the meditation the leader gently talks the group through stretching and yawning until at
least an almost wide awake stage is reached.
The group then has a cup of tea and a chat.
The relaxation group is an oasis of peace and tranquility away from the stresses and strains of
modern day living. Each member brings something of themselves so each and everyone is special and
deep friendships have grown.
