Rev Stewart Birse was inducted to the Church on 19th January 1989. he was formerly minister of Barrhead: Bourock Church of Scotland. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a graduate of New College, Edinburgh and the Open Universiry.

His aim is to have All In Ministry, and Newton Church is one that responds well to involvement and activity for the cause of extending Christ's Kingdom.
